Drought Hit Panama Canal

Affected by the ongoing drought, the Panama Canal, the world's shipping hub, has recently implemented a series of traffic restrictions, including limiting the number of ships passing daily and the draught of ships.

Analysts believe that these restrictive measures will affect the canal's operating revenues and increase the cost of international freight, and that the increase in freight costs will be passed on to the end consumer market, leading to price increases.

Now, many countries are looking for alternative routes for the Panama Canal. We wish our customers do not suffer from surge in transportation cost due to these changes.
