This year, annual Mid-Autumn Festival (Also called Mooncake Festival) in China which falls on 24th, Sep. is just around the corner. It is celebrated when the moon is thought to be the biggest and fullest, to Chinese, the festival means family reunion and happiness.
At that day, the family will get together to eat dinner to enjoy the happy family time, and after the dinner, traditionally enjoy the moon, in the belief that the moon will bring them good luck. In some old towns or tourist cities, people will hold a ceremony to worship the moon in a square, park, or street.
Besides, mooncakes are the must-eat Mid-Autumn food in China. They are a traditional Chinese pastry, the symbol of reunion and happiness. Other foods eaten during the festival are harvest foods, such as crabs, Hami melon, pomelos, and grapes.
