If you are experiencing heat waves this summer, you may want to come to a place named Beiers Snow Mountain in Zhangye, Gansu Province, China. With the main peak is 5118 meters above sea level, it attracts more and more tourists with its unique landscape and beautiful scenery.  

The mountain displays breathtaking natural wonders, with glaciers, rivers, lakes and alpine meadows intertwined, composing a beautiful symphony. Its unique geomorphology and pristine natural scenery have earned it the reputation as the “Secret Kingdom of Western China” and the “Dazzling Pearl on the Silk Road”. 

As a sacred place in the hearts of local Yugu people, the mountain is an important geographical landmark and a symbol of Yugu culture and history. Its name, Beiers, means “tall, magnificent and sacred” in Yugu language.
