China Trade Policy Review

The World Trade Organization's (WTO) ninth trade policy review on China is taking place from July 17 to July 19. On July 16, a side meeting on China's trade policy was held in Geneva, aiming to help WTO members understand China's economic and trade policies.

This side event is the first time China has held such an event on the eve of the trade policy review. Experts and scholars from China and representatives of foreign-funded enterprises in China introduced policies and measures adopted by China, as well as practical experiences to achieve high-quality development and opening-up.

Alexander Keck, chief of Global Economic Analysis at WTO, spoke highly of China's positive and open attitude in preparations for the review. He acknowledged the event's role in increasing trust and dispelling doubts within the organization.
