Chinese Alcohol Brands Expand Business

As China's alcohol market has been cheered, a number of Chinese companies have made initial efforts in developing domestically produced whiskey.

For instance, Tsing Tao single malt Chinese whiskey, which was launched in June 2023, sells for 299 yuan ($42) for a 700 ml bottle of the brand's main product, which is about one-sixth of the price of imported whiskey of the same specification. Its taste, which tends to be gentler, is closer to the preferences of Chinese consumers.

At the same time, Chinese brands expand their global business too, below is a bartender serving a cocktail using Kweichow Moutai as an ingredient at La Liste ceremony in Paris, France, on Nov 20 2023 as mentioned by the XINHUA news.
