We have received a notice from a paper manufacturer in Guangzhou.

It says that the prices of art paper will be raised by RMB1000 (US$154) per ton as from next week!

Paper prices have been rising since last year, and we do not see a stop in the near future.

Paper makers explain that the government requires faster closure of outdated and inefficient capacity and regulates these most heavily heavy-polluting industries, which makes the prices of main raw materials, mainly recycled paper and coal, have been rising all the time. And, they are forced to raise their paper prices and pass cost down the industry chain.
